Even as the winter's respiratory virus season fades, strep throat infections remain high, and in some cases pediatric formulations of some antibiotics are in short supply.
A more severe form of strep can infect the bloodstream and has also increased in children and adults, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
